Low-Intensity Strengthening Exercises’ Effects on Patients’ Lipid Profiles and Serviceable Status with Chronic Kidney Disease

The study aimed to assess how low-intensity strengthening exercises impact the lipid profiles and functional status of patients with Chronic Kidney Disease(CKD). It employed a one-group pretest-posttest design with purposive sampling, involving 60 CKD patients. Demographic data were collected using a self-structured questionnaire, while functional status and mobility were evaluated using the Katz Index of Independence in Activities of Daily Living Scale and the Tinetti POMA. Lipid profiles were clinically assessed. After administering low-intensity strengthening exercises, a posttest was conducted on the seventh day. Results showed significant improvements in balance control, activity of daily living, and lipid profiles post-exercise, indicating the beneficial effects of such exercises for CKD patients.
