Research on Rural Tourism Feature Classification Method Based on Hierarchical Cluster Analysis

In today’s era of personalized and experiential travel, rural tourism is attracting more and more tourists with its unique charm. It not only provides an opportunity for people to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and get back to nature, but also allows visitors to experience the culture and traditions of the place firsthand. In order to understand this trend, we will use rural cluster analysis to explore the tourism characteristics of different rural areas and classify them into different tourism characteristics, so as to provide strategic recommendations for tourism operators and local governments. First, we must clarify the basic principle of clustering, which is to group objects based on data characteristics. For the purposes of this article, these “objects” refer to rural areas with different characteristics. By examining factors such as geographical location, cultural background, natural resources, historical sites, and local economy, we can divide rural areas into several main categories.
