Multi-path Coupled Base-station Filtenna with Enhanced Filtering Performance

In this paper, a multi-path coupled dual-polarized filtenna with enhanced stopband is proposed for base-station applications. The proposed filtenna consists of four compact patches. Main radiator and lower parasitic patch are connected by four metal probes. The main radiator is fed by differential signals through the four symmetrical probes. Three parasitic patches generate three radiation nulls. Two lower parasitic patch are connected to main radiator by four metal probes, which introduces mutli-path coupling between them. The proposed filtenna is simulated and measured. The experiment results suggest the proposed antenna obtains enhanced stopband.
