Multibeam antennas handover algorithm based on multi-objective Bayesian optimization

Multibeam antennas can generate a cluster of independent beams, and when the user moves to the beam boundary, it is necessary to find the most suitable beam for switching to avoid interruptions. In order to reduce the probability of ping-pong handover and interruption during beam handover, an adaptive handover algorithm based on multi-objective optimization is proposed and solved by Bayesian optimization. Simulation results show that this algorithm can adaptively adjust the judgment threshold and hysteresis margin according to the channel conditions, and trade-off the number of handover and interruptions. In addition, compared with other search algorithm, the Bayesian optimization-based algorithm greatly saves computational time. In this paper, there are contributions in the dynamic modeling and solution of multibeam antenna beam handover, and the related research can make the beam handover process more "flexible and reliable", which is conducive to promoting the seamless coverage of multibeam antenna communication systems.
