Research on the Application of Multi-Sensor Data Fusion on UAV in Transmission Line Monitoring

A detection method of UAV transmission line based on UAV multi-sensor is proposed. First, the time and space benchmarks of airborne ultraviolet, infrared, visible light and laser sensors are unified through high-precision synchronous timing and calibration. Secondly, multiple aerial sensors are used to obtain high-precision three-dimensional point cloud, high-resolution aerial photos, infrared video, ultraviolet video and other information at the same time, and the multi-source information is autonomous and fused, so as to achieve the purpose of line safety distance detection, abnormal heating and abnormal discharge detection of line equipment. In this way, the intelligent detection of all kinds of faults and safety hazards of the line is achieved. In order to test the performance of the system, a live wire inspection experiment is carried out. The simulation results show that the detection effect of the proposed method on the problems and potential dangerous points in the line is consistent with the results of manual measurement. This system can not only identify various operating defects and safety risks of power lines, but also make relevant maintenance strategies for the operation department. This facilitates manual fault diagnosis and elimination and improves the efficiency of power grid inspection.
