Designing Ship Structures using 3D Printing and Mapping Technology based on Big Data

Ship structures need to keep up with the times according to constantly changing environments and needs, so the design of ship structures is inevitably a complex and constantly changing process. This article proposes the use of 3D printing technology to accurately design and manufacture some fine components in ship structures, while also utilizing CAD (Computer Aided Design) for engineering drawings. This can further utilize Bayesian network models in big data analysis to trace the quality of shipbuilding materials, thereby ensuring the stable progress of shipbuilding. In the end, this article also conducted comparative experiments based on manufacturing accuracy, and the experimental results showed that the average manufacturing accuracy of the experimental group based on this method was 99.46%. The average manufacturing accuracy of the control group, which only involves conventional systems, is only 98.90%. The experimental differences among them are not difficult to demonstrate that the method proposed in this article can indeed improve the manufacturing ability of components in ship structures.
