“Photovoltaic Hotspot Detection and Monitoring System”

This paper introduces an IoT-based Photovoltaic Hotspot Detection and Monitoring System designed to optimize the performance and reliability of solar energy systems. Utilizing a 1.3W, 7.5V solar panel, INA219, DHT22, DS3231 RTC module, and ESP32 for real-time monitoring, and an Arduino Nano, AMG8833 thermal sensor, and TFT display for hotspot detection, the system seamlessly integrates with a 000webhost dashboard. The monitoring component collects real-time data on environmental parameters and energy production metrics, which is efficiently stored in a MySQL database and visualized on the 000webhost dashboard. The absence of a relay or load management system simplifies the design, focusing on monitoring and hotspot detection. The holistic approach presented in this paper contributes to the advancement of sustainable and optimized solar energy utilization, with potential applications in both residential and commercial photovoltaic installations.
