VisionBlend: Empowering Object Recognition for the Visually Impaired

People who are blind or visually impaired face several challenges daily. They are more prone to collide, which can cause severe accidents. Obstacles such as furniture, people, and uneven ground can make it difficult for blind individuals to navigate in crowded or unknown settings. It is crucial to develop a method to prevent such accidents. To overcome all these problems, VisionBlend Empowering Object Recognition for the Visually Impaired is proposed. The suggested solution increases blind people's mobility and safety by combining computer vision, ultrasonic sensors, and real-time aural feedback. The system detects obstacles and recognizes them using computer vision and estimates the distance between obstacles. The proposed system is almost 93% accurate.
