Vision-Powered Cursor Maneuvering

This paper presents an eye gaze tracking system aimed at facilitating computer access for physically challenged individuals, particularly those with amputations or quadriplegia. Acting as a mouse interface, the system utilizes eye actions such as blinking, gestures, and gaze for interaction, with a focus on enhancing the computer interaction experience for users facing challenges in using their hands. Employing Python, OpenCV, NumPy, and other software packages for face recognition through a basic webcam, the system eliminates the need for additional sensors or gear. Additionally, it includes backend and frontend applications as part of the proposed Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) system, transforming eye movements into mouse cursor actions to offer a hands-free computing solution with potential benefits for accessibility.
