Optimizing Performance: Ideal and Practical Switching Analysis of Totem-Pole Converters with Average Fidelity-Based Charger

This research paper investigates the performance of a totem-pole converter, specifically focusing on both ideal and practical switching scenarios. The totem pole converter is analyzed with an average fidelity-based charger, considering parameters such as capacitor voltage or DC bus voltage, grid voltage and current, battery terminal voltage, battery charging current and battery state of charging. Under ideal switching conditions, the converter demonstrates stable capacitor voltage at 400 V, synchronous alignment between grid voltage and current and consistent battery charging parameters. The practical switching analysis acknowledges real-world limitations, showcasing a slight deviation in DC bus voltage and closely aligned values for other parameters compared to theoretical expectations. The comparison between theoretical and practical values highlights the converter's effective performance, emphasizing its suitability for real-world applications. This study provides valuable insights into the behavior of totem-pole converters under different operating conditions, contributing to the understanding and optimization of power conversion systems.
