Development and Prototype Testing of Vehicle Speed Control with Real-Time Operating System Integration

The proposed work seeks to develop an innovative vehicle speed regulation system that adapts in real-time to local population density and road conditions, utilizing the RTX Kernel within a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS). Conventional speed limit solutions often struggle to adjust to changing traffic dynamics and environmental factors. The pro-posed system employs sensor and communication technologies to continuously monitor population density and road conditions, ensuring a dynamic response. With the RTOS at its core, reliable and efficient data processing is guaranteed, enabling swift reactions and informed decision-making. Notably, the system incorporates an adjustable speed restriction algorithm that takes into consideration real-time variables such as traffic patterns and population density. Supported by ARM Cortex-M3 project boards (LPC1768), kernel objects like Tasks and Event Flags play vital roles in system implementation. To enhance efficiency and performance, the project employs optimization techniques such as dead code elimination and code minimization.
