Transmission System Fault Detection Using IoT and Inspection Robot

Since the development of distribution and transmission networks, the goal of power system engineers has been the identification of the problem site. India significantly relies on electric power networks for both domestic and industrial use. Unfortunately, the electrical power distribution systems waste 30% or more of the energy that is transmitted from the power plants to the final destination. The main goal of our research is to build a mobile gadget that can move along high-power transmission lines while continuously analysing various factors, such as electrical values like current and voltage. The device notifies the relevant parties via IoT in the event of any malfunctions. The device is environmentally friendly because it measures variables like voltage 12.23V, current 0.3A, location, and temperature 28.86° C and uses solar panels in conjunction with a battery. The cost of manual inspection and necessitate direct physical contact with the high-voltage equipment being inspected.
