Hygroscopic Simulation Analysis of T800/EC230R Composites Using Finite Element Software ABAQUS

The hygroscopic behavior and mismatch stress of T800/EC230R composites were studied. Finite element analysis software ABAQUS was used to simulate the hygroscopic behavior and mismatch stress distribution of 53% uniaxial composites. It is found that the simulation results are consistent with the experimental data of the relative moisture absorption of T800/EC230R unidirectional composite under different moisture absorption time. The distribution law of mismatched stress is studied by software. It is found that when the composite material is hygroscopic, due to the difference of the swelling capacity between the fiber and the matrix, if the distance between the fiber monofilaments is too close, the stress concentration phenomenon will occur in this narrow area, where the stress level is large.
