Metamaterial-Based Microwave Absorber Using Meander Structure

The present study reports a metamaterial microwave absorber (MMA) using the squared split ring resonator with a meander line in the frequency range of 1–20 GHz. The CST Microwave Studio software 2019 is used to design the proposed MMA and the absorption performance in terms of S11 is analyzed based on three iterations in the frequency range of 1–20 GHz. The MMA-1, MMA-2, and MMA-3 are showing absorption performance of 93.85 at 4.1917 GHz, at 10.581 GHz, and 95.57 at 10.607 GHz respectively. The proposed design is showing the narrow-band absorption performance.
