A Survey on Wireless Communication and Power Transfer Systems for Space Applications

In the realm of space systems, there exists a persistent demand to reduce the weight of non-payload components and simplify integration processes. A promising solution to address both challenges involves replacing traditional cables and connectors with wireless systems for communication and power supply. To explore the feasibility of wireless systems, a wide comparative survey was conducted, analyzing technical literature on wireless communication standards and wireless electric power transfer methods and having as reference a use case in the space system domain.
