Design of Robust PD State Feedback Controllers for Descriptor Systems

This paper deals with the normalization and asymptotic and exponential stabilization of linear time-invariant (LTI) and uncertain polytopic descriptor systems using proportional-derivative (PD) state feedback controllers. The synthesis problems are formulated as semidefinite programs (SDPs). The formulation allows for the optimization of the PD gains. A numerical example illustrates the proposed theory.
