The Impact of STEM Teacher Competence on Job Performance in the Era of Artificial Intelligence

In the intelligent era of the 21st century, individuals with STEM literacy are considered a vital human resource globally. This study focuses on 151 STEM teachers, exploring demographic differences across three dimensions: professional knowledge, competence, and values. Additionally, the research investigates the predictive mechanisms of these dimensions on task performance and relational performance. The findings indicate a positive correlation between higher educational qualifications and increased competence levels. Teacher competence is significantly linked to job performance, with professional competence and values significantly influencing task performance and professional competence affecting relational performance. In conclusion, enhancing the competence of STEM teachers is a crucial pathway to effectively improve job performance. The research not only enriches competence theory but also provides valuable insights for human resource management practices in higher education institutions.
