Virtual Reality Technology in Teaching and Students' Intention to Use: A Survey of Chinese University Students Majoring in Management

The technology of virtual reality (VR) has a prominent role in education. However, the wide application of this technology in Chinese universities could be hard. In some cases, it is a challenge for management majors. To a large extent, the acceptance of virtual reality technology by college management students will greatly affect the further application of this technology in university management teaching. Therefore, this study aims to provide a reference for the application of VR in college management teaching by analyzing the behavior intention of college management students to use VR. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was used as the theoretical model. Data were collected from 397 college students majoring in management in China. The structural equation model was used to analyze. The results proved: (l)Chinese university students majoring in management had an intention to use VR to learn; (2)there was no significant difference in the intention to use VR to learn among different types of Chinese university students of management; (3) perceived usefulness had a significant positive impact on the students' behavioral intention to use VR to learn; (4)perceived ease of use had no significant effect on the students' behavioral intention to use VR to learn; (5)but it had a significant positive impact on the perceived usefulness, and then had a significant positive impact on students' behavioral intention to use VR to learn.
