Design and Integration of IoRT-Enabled Robotic Systems with Wearable Devices in a Digital Twin Framework

This study introduces a method to im-prove personalized healthcare in the aftermath of the COVID 19 emphasizing reduced physical interaction and heightened safety, in medical facilities by combining digital twin technology with robotic systems. Our research marks a shift by utilizing the Internet of Robotic Things (IoRT) to gather health data in a non intrusive and safe manner. In contrast to Internet of Things (IoT) approaches our system employs robots to navigate hospital spaces collect health information from patients using monitoring devices and securely update this data on a local server. This approach prioritizes data security and tackles privacy concerns commonly associated with IoT healthcare solutions. By creating a representation of a patients health status within the hospital setting we facilitate real time simulation and analysis of treatment options. This digital replica, continuously updated with robot collected data lays a groundwork for tailored treatment plans that enhance patient care safety, efficiency and effectiveness. Our method not only reduces contact—a critical aspect in combating infectious diseases—but also leads the way in secure automated monitoring and treatment for hospitalized patients heralding an important advancement, in personalized medicine.
