Study of an Optimization Method to Improve the Anti-Magnetic Interference Capability of Differential Magnetoresistance Current Sensor

Differential magnetoresistance current sensors (DMCSs) based on magnetoresistance sensors (MRSs) have a high application value in noncontact current measurements. However, the measurement accuracy of DMCS is easily affected by crosstalk. It is necessary to accurately evaluate the anti-magnetic interference capability (AMIC) of DMCS. Therefore, this article proposes a magnetic interference degree (MID) analysis method to assess the AMIC of DMCS. MID can accurately quantify the AMIC of DMCS. The four magnetic interference zero points (MIZPs) are solved according to the MID mathematical model. This article gives the calculation of the MIZPs, and an optimization method to improve the AMIC of the DMCS can be proposed based on the existence of MIZPs. We demonstrate the effectiveness of this optimization method through finite element simulations (FESs) and experiments. The simulation and experimental results show that the MID mathematical model proposed in this article accurately evaluates and improves the AMIC of the DMCS. The crosstalk errors of the DMCS using the optimization method are less than 1%, which is lower than that of the other four offset angles of the DMCS.
