Implementation of LoRa Technology in the Development of Web-Based Air Particulates Monitoring and Advisory System

Air pollution affects people's daily work and quality of life. It is evident that there is an urgent need for air quality monitoring given the threats it poses to the world's biodiversity and the quality of life, both of which have been decreased recently by an increase in building activity. LoRa technology is particularly convincing since it offers long-range, low power consumption, and secure data delivery. The study created a device that transmits data of air particulates to the LoRa gateway, and the network server receives information from the gateway. The web-based system application provides information on the AQI level of health concern, air particulate levels of PM2.5, CO, CO2, NO2, and temperature-humidity at the device location, as well as guidance and daily email notifications. According to the tests, the air particulate matter had a lowest reading of 81.09 g/m3, which is equivalent to a 163 AQI value, and a highest reading of 255.20 g/m3, which is equivalent to a 305 AQI value. A range of unhealthy to hazardous AQI levels were produced by these during midday. This outcome does not help the populace. As air pollution and health risks increase, the AQI value rises accordingly.
