Lora-Based Tracking System Using ATmega328P

Throughout the years, wearable tracking devices have been studied and have been commercialized in the market. The focus of this design project is to create a wearable tracking device anchored on LoRa, a type of Low Powered Wide Area Network (LPWAN) communication. This will allow parents to track their child at a longer range with a lower power supply. The design will utilize LoRa, GPS Module, and ATMEGA328P for both the tracker and gateway. An alarm system is also added to notify the parent if the child is out of the specified range. To visualize the location of the child, the Blynk application will also be utilized. The study was conducted in an urban and open area to determine how the system works based on its surroundings. Based on the data gathered the design obtained

in open areas. This shows that the system gathers accurate GPS data when it is in an open field. The buildings and towers affect the accuracy of sending and receiving of data.
