Adaptive Sliding Mode Fault Tolerance-Based Buffer Control of Aircraft Magnetorheological Landing Gear

The buffer control method of magnetorheological aircraft landing gear is a hot topic in the research of aircraft landing gear. In order to ensure that the magnetorheological buffer system can still work effectively when the damper fails, This paper presents an adaptive sliding mode fault-tolerant control algorithm to improve the buffering efficiency of aircraft landing gear buffering system. Firstly, the relevant parameters of magnetorheological are identified and the model of magnetorheological buffer system is established. Then, based on the fault information estimated online by adaptive law, a sliding mode fault-tolerant control law is designed to compensate the influence of damper fault on magnetorheological buffer system. Finally, the simulation results show that compared with passive control and PID control, the landing gear buffer system based on adaptive sliding mode fault-tolerant control can not only compensate the influence of damper fault, but also effectively improve the buffer efficiency.
