A System for Detecting the Effectiveness of Cathodic Protection in Buried Pipelines

The effectiveness testing of cathodic protection for buried pipelines is an important means of pipeline corrosion prevention. Some pipeline laying environments are accompanied by strong electromagnetic interference, which will seriously affect the effectiveness of pipeline cathodic protection. Conventional testing methods for such pipelines will not be able to detect effective cathodic protection data. A pipeline cathodic protection detection system was designed to address this phenomenon, and the main performance and indicators of the system were verified through laboratory and field testing. The test results indicate that the detection system has strong detection capabilities, consistent with the detection results of imported equipment, and has strong practicality, which will play a certain role in the future localization and promotion of the system.
