Analysis of Heat Dissipation Structure of Permanent Magnet Eddy Current Coupler based on Magnetothermal Multi-physics Coupling

To optimize the thermal performance of traditional permanent magnet eddy current couplers, the thermal-physical coupling method is employed to design and analyze the thermal structure of the permanent magnet eddy current coupler. Firstly, based on an analytical model established using the equivalent magnetic circuit method, with the structural parameters of the permanent magnet eddy current coupler as variables and torque output, thermal device temperature, and volume as optimization objectives, a semi- analytical method for thermal-physical coupling is proposed. This involves finite element iterative computation of the multi-physical field-coupled permanent magnet eddy current coupler, optimizing material parameters, and validating the heat dissipation coefficient. The results indicate that the thermal structure designed after comprehensive optimization of volume, performance, and other objectives exhibits superior performance. This study provides a basis for the design and performance optimization of the thermal device in permanent magnet eddy current couplers.
