Fuel-Optimal Orbit Transfer Trajectory Optimization Method for Satellites

With the dynamic development of space technology, the scale and diversity of missions to be carried out by satellites are constantly increasing. However, the lack of top-level decision-making capability at the mission planning level has resulted in inefficient planning and a waste of satellite resources, making it necessary to carry out mission planning for them. In this background, it is significant to study the problem of satellite orbit transfer trajectory optimization based on numerical optimization. Given the mission pre-planning and re-planning problem in the observation of ground point targets by the satellite, we have analyzed the time constraints, dynamics constraints, and other constraints imposed on the satellite in this process, and established a mathematical model for the mission planning problem of the satellite, taking into account the requirements of optimal gain in the process of observation and optimal energy in the process of attitude maneuver. Finally, the problem was solved by the Matlab GPOPS software package, which proved the correctness and effectiveness of this orbit transfer trajectory optimization method.
