A Preliminary Study on a Common Control Structure in the Water Supply Industry

The residual chlorine Concentration of outlet water from Drinking Water Treatment Plants (DWTP) is an important indicator for drinking water. However, it is currently common that even if the chlorine system has an automatic dosing function, manual intervention is still required. In the chlorine renovation project, Nantong Water Group attempted to solve this problem. During the process, a control structure diagram was drawn based on its actual situation. However, no control method research has been found for the control structure where the main feedback is controlled externally and the secondary feedbacks are controlled internally. Therefore, this paper aims to communicate with professionals and enhance their attention to this structure. Also, this paper proposes a control method for this structure, which has shown excellent practical application results.
