Optimal Scheduling of Microgrids Based on Multi-objective African Vulture Optimization Algorithm

The exploitation and utilization of traditional energy have caused serious damage to the natural environment. New energy microgrids are a hopeful means to solve the above environmental crises. However, the scheduling problem of microgrids also faces enormous challenges. Thus, this paper develops a novel optimal scheduling method for microgrid. Firstly, the microgrid model composed of photovoltaic cells, wind turbines, diesel generators and storage batteries is established. A dual-objective optimal scheduling model including of operating cost and environmental protection cost is constructed. A multi-objective African Vulture optimization algorithm (MOAVOA) is proposed to solve the above optimization problem. Finally, simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed optimal scheduling method.
