Model Predictive Control Based on Fractional Order Extended State Observer And Improved Grey Prediction

A Fractional Order Model Predictive Control (FOMPC) algorithm based on disturbance estimation and prediction is proposed. Disturbance in practical engineering can to some extent limit the performance of the model predictive controller. In order to overcome this limitation, this paper presents a FOMPC with a fractional order extended state observer (FOESO) and grey prediction method. Firstly, FOESO is designed to estimate disturbances in the system, and its convergence for disturbance observation is analyzed using frequency domain analysis. Then, a grey prediction model based on multi-cycle time series is used to predict the disturbances, and the predicted disturbance sequence is applied to the predictive model to improve prediction accuracy and further eliminate the influence of disturbances. Finally, the performance of the proposed FOMPC control algorithm is evaluated through a simulation example.
