Design and optimization of DC-DC Converter Based on Soft-Switching Control Strategy for special vehicle

This paper optimises the design of a bi-directional DC-DC converter to be more compatible with the characteristics of the special vehicles' on-board grid. Utilising the four-switch Buck-Boost (FSBB) DC-DC converter, link to soft-switching technology, a bidirectional DC-DC Converter is put forward based on a parameter adaptive soft-switching control strategy. The FSBB converter’s conventional control strategy has been summarized to address the challenge of achieving high efficiency, power density and dynamic response over a wide input voltage range. This converter work for a connection between the DC bus of high voltage and the energy storage system, which can be adjust for power batteries and supercapacitors. We propose a soft-switching control strategy based on parameter adaptation and test it using MATLAB/Simulink. In the experimental part, the FSBB converter enables Zero Voltage Switch (ZVS) of four switching tubes over the full operating voltage range and is suitable for special vehicle on-board grids with good dynamic performance at high frequencies.
