Fuzzy Control-based Equalization of Lithium Battery under Different SOC Distributions

In order to solve the problem of inconsistent energy in the charging and discharging process of lithium battery pack, this paper proposes an equalization method based on fuzzy logic control (FLC). The state of charge (SOC) of the battery is used as the equalization variable, in the topology of a double-layer equalizing circuit based on inductance, the SOC is weighted to study the performance of the proposed equalization method. In addition, three evaluation criteria (equilibrium time, SOC equalization degree and energy loss) are used to evaluate the performance of the algorithm on four different initial SOC distributions. Finally, the performance of the improved equalization algorithm is compared with the mean difference algorithm and the average SOC value as the input of FLC. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified by simulation data.
