An improved PID strategy for pneumatic valve position control systems

Pneumatic valve position control systems are extensively used in industrial processes, and their performance is crucial for ensuring the quality of industrial production. As far as we know, the PID control method plays an important role in pneumatic valve position control systems. Thus, proposing an improved PID control method is significant for the considered systems. For the aim, this article develops an improved PID method based on neural networks and improved differential evolution. The main feature of the method lies in globally adjusting PID controller gains based on system models and performance. Finally, a practical example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
