Capture Effect of Internal Pull-hole Particle Trap in DC GIL

Gas insulated metal enclosed transmission line ( GIL ) has the advantages of large transmission capacity, small footprint and low transmission loss. However, due to the influence of the internal electric field of GIL, the metal particles will take off, and the moving metal particles may cause surface flashover during contact with the basin insulator, which may lead to breakdown in severe cases. Therefore, it is necessary to take effective measures to suppress the movement of metal particles. At present, the collection of metal particles in engineering mostly adopts the pore-type particle trap. The position of the metal particles and the voltage applied by the high-voltage conductor have a great influence on the capture of metal particles by the hole-type trap. Therefore, in this paper, multi-stage pressurization and changing the placement position of metal particles are used to obtain the trajectory of metal particles and the trapping effect of trapped particles. Through further calculation results, the lifting voltage of metal particles at different positions and the capture range of metal particles by hole-type particle traps are obtained. Because the voltage applied by the high-voltage conductor is too high and the polarity of the axial electric field inside the hole-type trap is opposite, the metal particles resonate between the hole-type trap and the high-voltage conductor under the action of the electric field force. The research in this paper has certain reference value for the optimization of the structural parameters of the pull-hole particle trap and the capture range of the hole-type trap for metal particles.
