A Comprehensive Review of Active Distribution Grid Research: Coordinated Dispatch of Generation, Grid, Load and Storage

With the establishment and development of China's "dual carbon goals," the penetration of distributed renewable energy, flexible loads, and energy storage devices in the distribution network is increasing. Traditional distribution network dispatching modes are no longer able to meet the demand. Leveraging the development of modern power electronic components and control technologies, the emergence of active distribution networks has become inevitable. Currently, the dispatching issue of active distribution networks has become a research hotspot. This paper comprehensively reviews domestic and international research achievements in this field, summarizing, analyzing, and prospecting the research content and methods of distribution network optimization dispatching. The paper elucidates the basic structure of active distribution networks and introduces the basic characteristics of the current components of active distribution networks. Subsequently, the paper analyzes and summarizes the coordinated dispatching technology of active distribution networks from two aspects: grid demand response technology and coordinated dispatching mechanism. Finally, the paper analyzes and prospects the problems and prospects in the development of coordinated dispatching technology for active distribution networks.
