Three-Dimensional Electric Field Analysis of Isolating Switch in 252kV SF6/N2 Mixed Gas GIS

In view of the poor insulation characteristics of environmentally friendly gases, it is crucial to design a reasonable electrical structure in a relatively compact space. This paper focuses on the isolating switch in 252kV SF

mixed gas GIS. Finite element analysis software Ansys Maxwell is used to analyze the three-dimensional electric field of the isolating switch in 252kV SF
6
/N
2
mixed gas GIS under different switch structures and different gap settings. The simulation results show that reducing the curvature of the shield, namely, decreasing the shield radius, can effectively suppress the electric field distortion at the switch insulation, and increasing the distance between the contacts can reduce the electric field intensity.
