Local Compensation Control Strategy of Power System with High Proportion of Renewable Energy in Unstability Events

To deal with the dangers of oscillation accidents, this paper investigates local compensation control strategy of power system with high proportion of renewable energy in unstability events. To begin with, the local compensation control strategy of renewable energy power generation is analyzed to suppress the low-frequency oscillation, revealing out the basic design principles of two local compensation controllers. Then, small signal model of parallel connection of photovoltaic power station and synchronous machine to power grid is established to give insights into action mechanism of the local compensation control of power system with high proportion of renewable energy. Furthermore, a two area four machine two system with PV and energy storage is established in Matlab/Simulink to verify the presented local compensation control. Finally, A real-time hardware-in-the-loop experimental is completed for further verification.
