Research on AC Long Duration with Partial Discharge Test Method for ± 800 kV Converter Transformer

To meet the needs of regular maintenance of ± 800 kV converter transformer, based on the principle of shunt resonance and symmetrical voltage approach to long-duration induced AC voltage (ACLD) withstand test with partial discharge measurement of ± 800 kV Transformer. This paper describes in detail the test elements, test program, calculation method of test parameters and field implementation, field test data to verify the correctness of the test method. The test adopts frequency conversion power supply device and does not need to provide a lot of reactive power, has the reproducibility, to carry out similar large transformer partial discharge test has certain reference value.
