Dynamic Process Modeling in Induction Heating Considering Temperature-Dependent Magnetic Properties

Owing to the temperature-dependent magnetic properties, steel sheets undergo a dynamic process of eddy current and temperature variation. Accurate modeling is important for the effective control of the heating process. In this study, magnetic-thermal coupled analysis is employed to examine the temperature distribution in steel sheets and the consequential impact of edge effects. The research accounts for the temperature-dependent magnetic properties of steel, establishing a dynamic process for the temperature changes in steel sheets over a detailed time series.
