Dynamic Analysis of Surface and Space Charge with Floating Conductor under Dielectric Liquid Discharge

The dynamic characteristics of surface and space charge were analyzed under a dielectric liquid discharge with a floating conductor by use of a fully coupled finite element method. Until now, a liquid discharge analysis including a floating conductor has been rarely reported with a generalized three carriers such as electron, and positive and negative ions as unknown variables. We, here, built up three carrier system with a floating conductor where a liquid discharge happens. To verify our numerical setup, first, the unipolar space charge propagation was analyzed and compared to those from a theory with a linear charge injection. In an extended paper, we will show more real analysis setup with three carriers for discharge analysis combined with a floating conductor as an obstacle.
