Reduced Order Modeling of Rectangular Wires in a Magneto-quasi-static Field for Integral Formulation

This paper presents a new approach based on the Cauer ladder network method to calculate the complex permeability of a rectangular wire, which is a key ingredient of the integral equation formulation. The proposed method has equivalent accuracy but lower computational cost and memory requirements with respect to the standard finite element method, which is the current method of choice for the same computation.
