Analysis of A Field Modulation Multi-Port Generator for Wave Power Generation

In order to solve the problems of low generator power density and unstable power capture caused by low wave speed and frequent wave speed changes, a field modulation multiport generator is proposed. Through the electric excitation magnetic gear, not only the rotation speed and power density of the generator are increased, but the maximum wave power capture capability of the generator can also be adjusted according to the real-time wave speed. The magnetic density distribution, static torque and back EMF of the generator are calculated and analyzed. The rationality of the designed generator structure was verified.
