Review on Hybrid Power Flow Controllers in Practical Power Systems

The rapidly growing energy demand causes congestion in the transmission network for which HPFC is the better option compared with UPFC. However, very few installations are made worldwide. Thus, in this paper, a detailed review of the literature on HPFC is made to help the research community. The present paper aims to present valuable state-of-the-art works on the topic of HPFC and their practical implementation, taking into account the articles published over the last few years.
