Conducted Noise Emission Analysis of Interleaved Totem-pole Bridgeless PFC Circuit with Power Line Impedance for EV Charger

When the PF is low and current distortion in power conversion system is severe, heat is generated in the inductor and transformer containing the magnetic material, and large losses in the power conversion system are generated. Moreover, strict standards for harmonic current are explained in international standards. Even if PFC circuit is added in EV charger to bring its power factor close to one, it has long wires to the power supply, and the inductance of long wires causes low power factor by changed impedance. Because the actual operating state was simulated, the effects of line impedance stabilization network (LISN) was excluded. This paper shows a conducted noise analysis for an interleaved totem pole bridgeless PFC circuit in an EV charger. The conducted noise and its spectrum from EV charger are measured using oscilloscope for verification.
