Optimal Allocation of Access Node Antennas in Small Meeting Rooms at mmWave

This paper describes the influence of the access node antenna (in the following Tx antenna) position on propagation in a small meeting room at mmWave frequencies. Three positions of the Tx antenna were compared: in the corner, in the center of the room, and next to the wall. Moreover, the influence of changing the Tx antenna height was measured. Placing the Tx antenna in the center results in a more evenly distributed distance to all receivers (Rx), thus a shorter maximum time of arrival of the first multipath component and shorter RMS DS. Changing the height of the antenna influences the number of received MPCs.
