Generation of Directed X-ray Radiation in Layered Structures of Opal Matrixes and Piezoelectric Materials for Application in Medicine

Experimental modeling of processes and devices for generating directional X-ray radiation induced by pulsed laser action on samples of layered structures with opal matrix $\left(\mathrm{SiO}_{2}\right)$ - piezoelectric $\left(\mathrm{LiNbO}_{3}\right.$ or $\left.\mathrm{BaTiO}_{3}\right)$ in the form of plates and films was carried out: The composition and structure of opal matrixes and nanocomposites based on them, as well as the experimental conditions (measurements were carried out in the temperature range from $300 \mathrm{~K}$ to $100 \mathrm{~K}$) influenced on the characteristics of X-ray beam. The possibility for generation of the pulsed X- ray radiation with an angular divergence of $\sim 1 \cdot 10^{-3} \mathrm{rad}$ was demonstrated. The studied materials are promising for solving a large number of practical problems, for example, in medicine during endoscopic investigations. Placing opal matrixes at the output of an optical fiber with laser radiation makes it possible to deliver X-ray radiation directly to the irradiated object. By connecting a fiber optic system to a Raman spectrometer, the effectiveness of X-ray exposure on a given object could be observed and controlled.
