Exploring the Feasibility of New Structure TEPC for Space Radiation Dosimetry

As human beings continue to explore extraterrestrial space, missions that expose them to space for long periods of time pose a serious threat to the lives of astronauts. In order to assess these radiation damages, it is necessary to study space radiation dose and its detection and assessment technology. As a commonly used microdosimetry instrument, the tissue equivalent proportional counter(TEPC) has been widely used in simulating the radiation damage suffered by astronauts and measuring the distribution of various types of radiation in a wide energy range under complex space radiation fields because of its good tissue equivalence and wide linear energy measurement range.
