The Specificity of the Lengthened Objects Detection Algorithm to the Variable Parameters

This paper is concentrated on the problem of application of lengthened objects detection algorithm (LODA) to the changeable parameters of navigation. The LODA could be referred to statistical algorithms based on the maximum a posteriori probability criterion. Mostly, this algorithm is designed for the autonomous navigation on the base of the pulse radar altimeter, but it could be implemented to other type of sensor. The core idea is evaluation of the amplitude histogram. The evaluated histogram is compared to the etalon histogram and the decision about the underlying terrain is made based on the maximum intersection area of the histograms. In the previous papers were described many questions of implementation LODA, such as the number of bins, structural scheme of LODA implementation, the choice of combinations of underlying terrains and etc. Here will be discussed such problems as the variation of height and evolutions, weather and temperature and the signal parameters fluctuation. These questions were slightly touched in the previous papers, but this was not the main attraction of the papers.
