Development of a Bench for Testing Ultrasonic Surgical Systems

To test the developed equipment and phantoms, it is necessary to have testing laboratory equipment. The article describes the development of a laboratory test bench that allows studying the characteristics of acoustic systems, as well as the force of their impact on the objects under study at different speeds. The linear movement module of the bench can be moved at 8 speed modes. The bench includes a rotary mechanism, which allows to investigate the impact on the objects under study from different angles. The bench is driven by a stepper motor and the impact force is measured by a force sensor. The bench is controlled using the developed software. The article describes methods of measuring the accuracy of moving the bench linear movement module at different angles, the accuracy of the angle of rotation of the bench and the accuracy of determining the impact force of the tested equipment on the object fixed in the bench. The accuracy of linear movement of the bench is 3.5 ± 65.3 μm, the accuracy of angular movement of the bench is 1.42 ± 0.49 °, the accuracy of the force measurement is 1.34 ± 0.88 N.
