Active Disturbance Rejection Control of a Counter-rotating Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

Counter-rotating permanent magnet synchronous motors (CRPMSM) have the advantages of high efficiency and high torque density to drive the co-axial counter-rotating propeller for vessels. In this paper., the active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) method for CRPMSMs is studied. The mathematical models of the CRPMSM., speed loop and current loop controller based on the active disturbance rejection technology are established. In order to alleviate the speed fluctuation of CRPMSM due to unsmooth fal function in NLSEF, the linear proportional gain is used to substitute the fal function. The simulation results show that the ADRC system of CRPMSM has the advantages of fast response and strong anti-interference ability under the load variation condition and speed abrupt change of two rotors of CRPMSM.
