Diagnosis Method for Electrical Contact Fault of Tulip Contacts in High Voltage Switchgear Based on Mechanical Thermal Coupling Analysis

Early identification of electrical contact defects in tulip contacts using mechanical and temperature rise characteristics can ensure the safe and stable operation of high-voltage switchgear. This paper proposes a method for measuring the clamping force of the tulip contact spring in the KYN-28 switchgear and designs a testing system; We constructed a three-dimensional thermal-mechanical coupling simulation model for the tulip contact and analyzed the temperature field distribution of the tulip contact under different current and spring clamping force conditions; A fault diagnosis model for tulip contact electrical contact based on Adaptive-Network-based Fuzzy Inference Systems (ANFIS) and heterogeneous information fusion is proposed. This article establishes a finite element simulation model for the clamping force test system of the tulip contact spring in switchgear, and proposes a diagnostic method for the contact defect of the tulip contact based on the diagnostic concept of “pressure testing temperature simulation model prediction. This can effectively improve the accuracy of the electrical contact fault diagnosis of the tulip contact and provide reference for the operation and maintenance of the contact state of the tulip contact.
